You need to be proficient in coding HTML, CSS and Javascript (jQuery), able to slice a Photoshop PSD into production-ready markup and then possibly integrate that markup into a CMS. In short, you'll be given PSDs and expected to make the front-end magic happen. You'll also be called upon to maintain and support templates that someone else has already built, adding or changing based on the client's needs.

We really need someone that produces amazing markup and clean, efficient CSS. To quote from another posting: "If you've recently spent an hour trying to get rid of a container div you knew you didn't need, then you're the type we're looking for. "

Since we're a small group, you might be called upon to help in other ways, so a willingness to pitch in as needed and ability to successfully handle unknown situations is key.

Freelance Anywhere A fashion startup based in New York needs a web developer full time for a 2 – 3 month project. This position is an exciting opportunity if you have a strong interest in trends in the online fashion space, enjoy an innovative startup environment and work well in a small team.

We’re looking for a sharp, enthusiastic person to join us as a Web Developer. The ideal candidate would see himself/herself this way:

You know HTML like it’s second nature. You understand DOM and keep your formatting in CSS. Given the option, you’d rather craft a site by hand than wrestle with Dreamweaver.
