INDUSTRIAL DESIGN INTERN

At Anova Culinary we’re creating the kitchen of the future by delivering connected kitchen equipment that our customers love. We are a varied group of designers, engineers, marketers, online specialists and more. We are passionate in helping our customers cook like a pro.

Our San Francisco office currently is looking for an Industrial Design intern for 4 months ready to start within a month to help us develop our new product line, accessories and jump in on any part of the business where you think you can add value.

A solid ID background. Strong graphic design skills a big plus. Willingness to investigate what our customers truly need. Driven to ship product and you gotta love food.

RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS
• Strong ID and visualization skills
• Very proficient in 3D rendering, animation and photo retouching
• Driven to ship product
• Packaging and 2D design
• Product marketing
• Understanding of manufacturing techniques, budgets and constaints.
• Report to the VP of Design
• Video editing skills a plus
• Willing to work for the greater good of the team

You’ll be a key member of our interdisciplinary teams, working collaboratively to produce innovative products.
In your role you will develop products using contemporary agile methods and get direct feedback from users through our co-creation processes.
You will work on a broad range of research and innovation oriented projects, working closely and responsively with international clients within the project timeline.

EVENT DESIGNER
OVERVIEW
Opportunity to be integral creative contributor to the growth of rapidly expanding Event Design and Production Company with an established client roster of global brands. The ideal candidate is a multi-tasker, energetic problem solver and creative thinker.

Responsibilities Include:
• Cultivating the look, design and feel for creative output including: sales pitches, event design, other client and company communications
• Integral part of RFP response and pitch process
• Lead on design from concept to completion
o Execute design concepts consistent with client / project objectives and Raiola brand
o Work closely to design and create overall guest experience: lighting, music, floral, other event components
o Brainstorm and develop concepts with project team
o Creates mood boards and sketches
o Insure conformity to production specs
o Travel to sites with client, vendors and production team
o Anticipate changes and solve challenges that meet budget and project goals
o Efficient budget management
• Interface with team to take design from concept to implementation
• Creates opportunities and technical solutions to create a commercial advantage
• Source and manage internal and external design resources: including building relationships, managing and engaging freelance associates

• Excellent understanding of floral and lighting design
• Understanding of bringing brands to life

FREELANCE INDUSTRIAL DESIGNERS
We’re ended the year with a bang and currently have opportunities for both junior and mid-level freelance industrial designers to come work with our team.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR...
We are looking for people who are interested in designing for a range of markets including consumer products, housewares and structural packaging and have demonstrated design «old link»’re a fast-paced office and a previous consultancy experience is a big help.

Solid sketching, communication and Adobe skills are a must, as is proficiency in Solidworks or Fusion360. You should also have a good handle of what it takes to design for production. Be prepared to take your designs past a concept stage.
