FREELANCE PRINT GRAPHIC DESIGNER SAVE THIS JOB
• The hours for this job are Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM – On Location Near Gurnee, IL
• This is a Freelance assignment that can last for a single day or up to several months
• Work with in-house account managers, project managers and clients to translate script content and design concepts into graphics for a variety of print applications.
• Be able to work on tedious repetitive elements one week and very complex fun elements the next.
• Ability to multitask and deal well with a busy production environment
• Ability to create a variety of designs to suit the style and needs of the client within a specific Brand
• Work within existing project management and QA structures to ensure clean workflow (and to be kind to your fellow designers, testers and project managers).
• Ability (and desire) to continue acquiring new design skills


Specific Skills
Skills
• Must be proficient in all Adobe design software, a good knowledge of InDesign required
• Must be both Macintosh and PC knowledgeable
• Extremely detail oriented with great organizational skills
• Very good communication skills
• Must be highly proficient in Microsoft office products
• Strong knowledge of graphic design terms and applications
• Ability to work in a busy design department, working with several programmers and designers

WDDG is an interactive advertising firm located in downtown Manhattan. We have a first-rate roster of clients including Marc Ecko, Marc Jacobs, Coty Beauty, Sesame Workshop, and Ubisoft. We're currently looking for efficient, intelligent Illustrators with 2+ years of experience to add to our freelance database. The ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of illustration in a variety of mediums both static and animated. WDDG’s Illustrators are responsible for numerous visual aspects of our projects and must be fluent in a variety of styles. This position will report into a Creative Director and Project Manager.

Requirements:
MUST have a strong illustration portfolio with work that is your own (we will find out if it isn’t). Sending a link to your portfolio online is required!

2+ years of experience in illustration
Fluency in a variety of illustration styles
Recognized and published work online, in broadcast or in print
Familiarity with web design
Experience with animation - either as an animator or as illustrator
Ability to deal directly with clients if required, and communicate your ideas verbally
The passion to stand up for and defend your illustrations to peers and clients
Ability to articulate your concepts in design or in writing
Must be self-motivated, a good communicator, comfortable following direction, and able to balance great work with meeting deadlines
