BACKGROUND/ENVIRONMENT ARTIST FOR A 2D GAME
am looking for a background artist for the 2D game I am working on. It's already in full swing and I have a character artist on board. I will pay $80 per screen (1024x1024) (plus additional compensation for features listed below), half after the first sketch, and half after the final version is done. The terms can be negotiated. Amount of work: Underground city: 4 levels, each about 4 screens (includes various structures: from huts and walls to mansions and temples) Caves: 3 levels, each about 4 screens (includes temple ruins and a lake) Insides of various buildings: about 9 buildings, about 1 or 2 screens each (includes a graveyard, inside of a temple/hospital, and more) Some other various background work, background in menus, Additional features (all of these will require proper alpha channel): Some backgrounds will have parts that will have to be exported separately to make the foreground. Some backgrounds will have a couple of objects that will have to be exported separately, with some having two states (e.g. open cabinet, closed cabinet). Some backgrounds will need a "highlights" layer to be exported separately, so it can be animated in game for various light effects.
