Trade Chase is expanding its team of developers based in their Oxford office. If you want to experience the complete product-development cycle and have a real impact on a new business, working with Trade Chase is the perfect job for you.

The person we are looking for:

Trade Chase is looking for someone who relishes the opportunity to work as part of an energetic team, constantly pushing forward in a fast-paced development environment. We are looking for someone who seeks to enhance their technical, business and life skills; someone who naturally seeks out cutting edge technology; and someone who enjoys the complexities of web development. Applicants must be comfortable working in a team.

Skills and experience:

The role is for a front-end developer. Applicants are required to have excellent knowledge of JavaScript and CSS 2 and 3 specifications. We specifically use jQuery so working knowledge with this framework is desirable. We also make use of Mootools and Knockout so experience with these frameworks would be a significant bonus. Applicants with a design-orientated background and experience of Fireworks, Illustrator and similar skills are also encouraged to apply.

Our back-end is based on Microsoft’s cloud (Azure) using ASP.Net Visual Basic and from a database perspective, we make use of Azure SQL, so any experience with these technologies will be useful, but certainly not necessary. No commercial experience is required, but proven interest and understanding must be demonstrable. Applicants will be judged primarily on technical skills, personality and teamwork.

What will you do?

The current site is just the barebones, so your primary role will be to make beautiful pages and an awesome user experience using the aforementioned technologies. You will play an integral role in the design process and development of key features and you will work directly alongside the founders.

Position and Package

It is a full time position based in our Oxford office. The salary package is competitive and will be based on your experience and skills. The expected range is £20k to £35k. Both junior and senior applicants are encouraged.

Send your CV (max 2 pages) to office@tradechase.com along with an explanation of why you want the job.
