SMALL BUSINESS WRITER FOR ONGOING WORK
My name is David Waring and I am the Co-Founder of «old link», a site focused on helping individuals start, market, and grow local businesses.
We are seeking two new writers with demonstrable small business writing experience to take over once a week posting responsibilities.
The first will be responsible for our small business buyer's guides. These are in depth guides reviewing the 4 most popular small business software or service providers in a particular area.
These guides involve actually speaking to the support teams of the providers to find out answers to questions that are not readily available online, and when possible, actually using the software. This means that they are much more labor intensive than a typical assignment, typically taking around 1 full day to complete.
You can see an example of the format we want followed here:

The second will be responsible for writing our Top 25 lists. Each Wednesday we release a list of the top 25 resources for small business owners on a particular topic.
Most lists of this type are simply a collection of random resources, that are more about flattering the people included in the list, than helping the reader. Our lists require more research, as they are meant to give the reader a one stop list of resources for fully researching and understanding a particular topic. Typically these posts take between 3 and 4 hours to complete.

Both writers are also expected to respond to comments left on their posts.
We pay $200 per post for our buyer's guides and $75 per post for our Top 25 lists.
We choose our independent contractors based on a trial article which we pay our normal rate for.
Please indicate which spot you are interested in, submit a brief description of why you are the right person, and relavent work samples to dwaring@fitsmallbusiness.com.
