PHP PARSING SHOPPING/PPC FEED (HERTFORDSHIRE)
I promote web sites that generate income from Pay Per Click and Shopping Comparison engines. Typically these PPC products are integrated into a site via an XML feed which is provided by the ad network.
I need a skilled developer to parse the XML ad feed and design a php script that will enable me integrate the feed into landing pages flexibly.
You should be able to communicate in a technical and non technical manner and ideally already have some experience working with XML, PHP and the Pay Per Click industry.
The general list of requirements is as follows, you will be provided with a basic php script which is the one provided by my ad network as is, you will need to adapt it to my needs so that I can:
1 Deploy flexible landing pages that can display ads in multiple ways, styles, number and order, links, images etc.
2 Produce code that will allow ads to be hyper linked directly within text or images on a landing page using on page tags, eg $link1, $link2 etc and support direct linking within a url.
3 Program in such a way that scripts are portable and can be easily moved to other sites in my network using simple php variables for configuration.
4 Utilise outbound click redirects so that conversion tracking can be applied via my tracking pixel and clicks and ctr can be monitored.
5 As above, php scripts should support variable configuration so that they can be configured by non technical staff, example variables in the script might include 'keyword selection, affiliate id, featured link, number of ads to display, enable/disable images and other variables that control layout on page. I also need a variant that can be used as a regular search results page.
6 Produce a sample landing page that demonstrates the different variables working and work with me to test that searches and clicks are being recorded properly by my ad network.
7 To offer reasonable ongoing support and any further development as may be discussed.
If you have worked with PPC feeds before then this should be a fairly simple and logical job
